What Data We Collect
- Slack workspace ID and team name (stored when app is installed)
- Slack user ID (stored when you select news preferences)
- News area preferences — which topics you subscribe to (Design, Dev, Marketing, Ops)
- We do not collect or store message content, email addresses, or any other personal information
How We Use Your Data
- Workspace ID and bot token: to deliver daily news digests to your Slack workspace
- User ID and area preferences: to send you personalized digests in the topics you chose
- We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties
- We do not use your data to train machine learning models
Transient Data
When Slack sends events to our app (e.g., when you open the App Home), the event payload may contain user IDs and workspace metadata. This data is processed in memory to handle the request and is not persisted beyond what is described above.
Data Retention
- Your data is stored only while the app is installed on your workspace
- When the app is uninstalled, all workspace data and subscriber preferences are permanently deleted immediately
- There is no backup or archival — deletion is immediate and irreversible
Your Rights
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time
- To make a request, email privacy@apta.agency
- We will respond to all data requests within 14 business days
- Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing
- Under CCPA, you have the right to know what data is collected, to delete your data, and to opt out of the sale of your data (we do not sell data)
